Lent

The vital penitential season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 14, when you will have the option of attending either a mid-day liturgy, with proclamation and the imposition of ashes beginning at 12 noon, or the customary evening liturgy at 7:30 PM.  Both liturgies will feature the same sermon. The noon liturgy is to make the time easy to remember, and to make attendance possible for people who might take time at lunch, for those who do not drive at night, or who must work second shift.

We will be offering a soup and bread meal every Wednesday evening in Lent at 6:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall.  Following the meal we will be having a study series beginning at 6:45 PM. This year we will be studying the Didache, the source the early Christians used to teach the Faith to the Gentiles.   Please see the Calendar or This Week for more information.  Our Lenten discipline also includes the Sunday morning and Holy Week liturgies that mark this sacred time in the Church Year.

As always, you are invited and encouraged to bring friends with you to experience the renewing power of the Season of Lent and its glorious fulfillment in the celebration of the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Our Lord.

You are welcome and encouraged to bring friends, including your Bible, with you.
